September 26th

I'm still exhausted from yesterday. We spent a long day filming at the Hangar. We found out we need more recording cards because we didn't have enough for both cameras. We got a lot of footage of the theater, it was cloudy so we took advantage and took shots outside. I am worried about the quality of the footage. Inside the theater is dark and the lighting they had for audience entering was really low so it could look cool or it could not work at all. We'll have to see. It mostly was really good for figuring out how to do our next two shoots. We have an idea of what we need still. I think next time I want to create a connection with the performers so I feel more comfortable during the dress rehearsal asking for more access. I'm very conscious of how it feels to do dress rehearsal with extra people there and I was worried about distracting them. Over all great experience and great start!

September 24th

After talking to Lisa our documentary has become more focused on what exactly our story is and how to get it. I think before we had a great idea and theme but it needed to be hashed out a little more. The history portion is going to be shortened which I think is a great choice, it'll still be there to set up the story but not so prevalent. We are starting to find the story, it is not only what the theater means not for the community but for theater on a whole. I'm a little apprehensive about the work in front of us. Because of our style shoots seem like they are going to be high pressure. I'm a little worried, because they are one time, that the shoot could get messed up and we wouldn't have another opportunity but we will just triple check anything. I'm also really excited about interviewing people because they seem to love what they do and that always makes for a good interview. I think I'll feel better when we get some things on camera and it is no longer a theoretical idea but we are actually creating our piece. I'm a little overwhelmed with how much we have to do but I think it'll turn out really well.

September 14th

The idea has gotten me more and more excited. We are ready to go we have plans for what we want to do with it a little more and the way in which Rob is going to shoot it. We also have begun establishing roles that fit our specialties which makes it feel more like a company. The frustrating thing is that we need the go ahead and unfortunately Lisa is a very busy person. I think I'll try stopping by or calling again tomorrow. I just feel like I've been bugging her. I guess that is what I have to do. As soon as we get the go a head it is going to be warp speed because we need to get clearances for performances and get contacted with all the people we need to talk to. Hopefully it comes soon. I'm a little worried about what we are going to do if I don't hear back in the next couple days!

September 6th

We wrote our proposal today. I'm a little worried about the strength of our event. There is very little advertising about it. I hoping that this is because they just finished their summer season and will start pushing the Cabaret. They aren't even selling tickets yet though. It'll be interesting to talk to I just hope they need people to buy tickets a little more then they are showing. the visuals will create themselves with our project and I'm sure people will be more then happy to talk. The thing I'm worried about is story. For me an actress this is important but I don't know about the general non theater community. How do we make it more accessible? Thats about all right now that I'm thinking about. Its a good start but we need to go down and start talking to people at the hanger to find our story,
